This is one of the lies that all calorie intakes are equal. The body gets calories from different sources and these sources have different effect on the body. Different foods are processed in a different way and thus their effect on the body will not be same. They will act differently in regulating the body weight. Calories from protein will be different from the calories that you get from fat or carbohydrates. Protein calorie will be good for the body as compared to any fat calorie. Calories from natural fruits and vegetables are healthy and calories from candies and junk food are fattening even if they have the same count.
